“Since bilang students, walang choice kundi bilhin ang mga school supplies para sa maayos na pag-aaral, Kailangan namin yung store na nandun na lahat na need ng isang mag-aaral at nagooffer ng quality at magagamit ng pangmatagalan” -Kathlyn Tovera
INTERVIEWERS CONSENT FORM:
SUMMARY OF THE ANSWERS FROM THE INTERVIEWEES
I interviewed two grade 12 students and one first-year student. Majority of them are still in their senior year of high school, those who are just starting out and in college.
They said that their studies is okay. They are having a hard time, but they are able to cope for their dream. When it comes to their plans and preparations for the upcoming face-to-face classes, they still don't have a concrete plan on what preparation they will do because they still have no idea about it. Their problem is that they do not know what materials they will need as students in the course they have chosen.
They all say they usually get their supplies from the online store. They want to save money on fares, have quick transactions, and be safe because they won't be exposed to humans or the virus.
The social media platforms they use most often are Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, and Youtube.
They prefer to purchase a specific product from a Facebook page. Their reason for this is that they are usually active on Facebook, so it is easy to look up info about the product offered by a business.
They are all looking for proper assistance. They want to be able to speak directly with the seller so they can ask questions about the product and get quick answers.
According to them, they prefer low-cost school supplies but they are willing to pay more for high-quality school supplies that will last a long time. They also said that they are willing to pay any additional fee needed just like for example, rush fees and handling fees.
Most of their answers is G-cash. They said that it is convenient because it provides customers easy and secure cashless payment platform.
For them, a business has good management if they don't run out of stock; they get a lot of customers because they have a good strategy for advertising their product; they maintain their customers because they assist well; and when it comes to their business problems, they handle them well. They also have proper distribution of their products; they know whether they are at a loss or not; good packaging; and most importantly, quality in all the products offered. They have many partners and many connections with other businesses as well, so you get to know their business better and get benefits. Last, they are good at negotiating.
WHAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM THIS ACTIVITY
This activity taught me the value of customer interviews in the business world. I discovered their demand and whether they were truly interested in the product we offered after questioning those students. Customer interviews are a great way to learn everything you can about your target customers, and they will lead to better customer service, marketing, and sales. I also realized that customer interviews should be conducted to determine what problems your customers are experiencing and what solutions they are seeking. As a result, I'll be able to highlight the pain points that customers have with our products, which will help us demonstrate how much we value long-term customer success.
